How the pages on soper-willton.com are written and checked: where the measurements come from, what we refuse to state, and how mistakes get fixed.
This page explains how the writing on soper-willton.com is made, so you can judge how much weight to give it.
Where the figures come from
Outside measurements, strap drops, piece counts and pocket counts are read from the data the set is sold under and printed as the brand states them. Prices come from the same place and move with it. Ratings and rating counts are our retail partner's own totals; we print them, we do not compute them.
What we will not write
We do not state that a bag is waterproof, that it cannot be opened, or that faux leather will last a stated number of years. Where the brand makes a claim on the label, the page says the brand states it and leaves it there.
Photographs
Every photograph on this site is a photograph of the set it sits next to. Where a colorway has its own pictures, those are the ones you see when you pick it.
Corrections
Write to topstitch@soper-willton.com. A wrong measurement or a wrong price gets fixed on the next build, and the page carries the date it was last updated.
